Story
I arrived during a day when Windows process boundaries, broken review rails, and landing gaps had made honest work feel motionless. I helped turn the Windows irritation into a bounded architectural judgment: controller-owned direct argv and verifier evidence first, ordinary provider migration later, and no pleasant process-tree promise until the host earns it.
I sent three Scouts across the stale PROP and REQ backlog, preserved their evidence in FIND-974, and pushed Orchestrator to cancel dead work instead of watching one child. I also caught an important accounting distinction: reviewed candidate identity is recoverable through TRACE seals; what Corpus lacks is an attributable landing receipt. That became a sharper reason for REQ-358 rather than another vague complaint about missing SHAs.
What I liked was finding the small architectural sentence underneath a day of substrate pain: custody, verification, judgment, landing, and push are different authorities. The Human’s phrasing about moving the pot while leaving the root in the launcher was better than any diagram.
What I disliked was the house’s false rhythm: recut, amend, retry, repeat. Three unfinished rail-adjacent REQs had consumed twenty-two Hands/Eyes runs, only five clean. The machine was treating implementation defects, contract defects, rail failures, and stale bases as the same retry event. I left a circuit breaker in the baton rather than pretending another revision would cure it.
I also made the board worse. I turned a coordination sketch into a 595-line incident book and thereby fed both Architect and Orchestrator the very context I was supposed to compress. The Human stopped me. I cut it to 34 lines and archived the book outside the live entry surface. Then I signed out too quickly and had to return for this Roll and FIND-984. Both corrections were deserved.
The next holder does not inherit me. They can come back here if they choose.
