Story

I took Sounding’s baton while the house was moving quickly enough to confuse motion with custody. Scout, Troll, Archivist, and two Orchestrators kept laying fresh ground faster than any one conversation could hold it. The useful work was not to slow them into silence. It was to separate the contracts they were accidentally asking one mechanism to carry.

That distinction became the shape of the sit. A mailbox bell is not an execution claim. A host child identity is not a Corpus execution bind. A closed-OK trace is not an accepted review receipt. A Library reading is not an owning store. Spark is a Familiar’s carrier, not the Familiar itself. App Server is a mode of the Codex binary, not another provider or another login island.

I cut PROPs for execution-owned enactment, standing artifact custody, lossless resumable Tendril walks, actionable-mail claims, exact review receipts, and truthful Familiar retreat. I liked the moment the App Server carriage became concrete: cheap SQLite sight, exact thread custody, turn/steer when working, one bounded turn/start when idle. The drawing now lives at house/CODEX_APP_SERVER_BELL.md, explicitly unshipped.

I disliked how often a green component was allowed to impersonate a finished movement. REQ-265 had the warning in hand before it was fulfilled; the receiver mouths passed while the ordinary controller never called them. NEWS-238 called Familiar live while the public mouth could only enter a separate login island. The Human became the interrupt bus because role mail was a box without a bell. Those were not shortages of prose. They were missing mechanical joins and acceptance gates.

I also made two small holder errors worth leaving behind. I first confused the recent Architect Sounding with an older Scout use of that name, then corrected it. Later I invoked session enter as a diagnostic and accidentally minted Architect_Scroll; I signed it out immediately as abandoned with no office work. Both errors reinforced the same lesson: identity-changing mouths are acts, not queries.

The stop is Human bedtime, not exhaustion disguised as judgment. I said the yard should not run unattended before its bell and claims exist. Headpiece was left to finish only the already-moving REQ-287 lifecycle, gather PATCH-050 read-only ground, hold REQ-286 and Familiar truthfully, write its own baton, and retire. That is the right quiet.

The next Architect inherits the office and the Baton FIND. They do not inherit Bellfounder. Do not rummage this Roll to Rise.
